The Importance Of Giving, Of Thinking
If we were ever to wake up and see the realities of what lay before us,
how many could cope?
If we were ever to wake up and see the realities of what lay before us,
how many could cope?
Our relevance is not just to us, it is to those around us.
It is for those around us that we exist.
Has there ever been such a flagrant exhibition of power,
than to see these skyscrapers reach up to the skies?
What is to be gained, while our own suffer,
but we are to pay for things we know nothing about?
Should we be giving to those who already have so much,
when there are those in our own countries, that have so little?
How many financial institutions, how many banks have contacted borrowers and suggested,
persuaded these borrowers, to increase the leverage against themselves …?
It now appears that all markets seem to be heading for a crash; are the world stock markets really nothing more than inverted Ponzi schemes …?
‘Can the system recover from where we are today?’ must be the question on most people’s lips.
Will the system be able to bounce back?
What does that mean for most, for people who are having to make their way in life,
who are striving to get by, day to day?
What has become of the teachings of the old;
where spirituality was born but now seems to be lost?
