Life’s Saga – The Journeys We Take
When we look at our lives, what do we see?
What paths did we go down? What roads did we travel? Where were we born? And to who?
When we start out in life we are but a child. As we progress through life different events unfold. These events shape our lives. To some the journey is easy, to others the journey is hard. Do any of us look at others and wish we were they? How many people around the world wished they could trade places, swop lives?
Men, women, children; where are their lives now? Do we choose to make our lives difficult, or is that choice made for us? Does circumstance play a role? It must do. Look around you; the rich, the poor, the entitled, the impoverished.
Where you now find yourself sat, is it where you intended to be, when you started out in life?
How many of us have looked back and regretted choices we have made? Did the outcome of those choices change our lives? Have they changed our lives? The people in war torn countries, the people losing everything, was that their choice? Do the leaders of these countries wake up one morning and decide the fate of their people?
Yes, they do. But is it right? Is war the answer?
Is the gain of the few outweighed by the loss of the many? Is this just in war torn countries or is it everywhere we look, manifesting itself in the hidden depths of politics?
Do politicians get it right? What has their track record shown? How many of us have benefited, truly benefited, from all these meetings, all that travel, all that opulence?
Have you ever seen a politician that looks like a normal person? And if you have have they ever succeeded at their job?
Is this world just for the rich? Is this world just for the privileged?
Or is this world for us, the people?
Look around you, can you see the answer?
