Let The Rockets Fly And The World Be Damned
US President Joe Biden is coming under increasing pressure to allow the Ukrainian army to use Western supplied weapons to strike into the Russian mainland.
A number of Western allies have signalled that they are open to this possibility; they cite concerns about the escalation of Russia gaining the upper hand.
In response to Mr Biden’s statement, and that of his Western allies, Russia’s President has warned of serious consequences, or as he put it, small Western countries in Europe …
What is a small Western country in Europe, compared to the vast expanse of Russia?
Is President Joe Biden trying to read the American citizens’ feelings? Have his people been studying the polls to try and garner what the public opinion is?
Joe Biden is a sitting American President, and this is an election year; he has to listen to his people, for the time being that is; Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are waiting in the wings.
If the Americans allow Ukraine to fire deep into Russia, deep into its heartland, what will be the consequences of such actions?
If Russia were to retaliate using their rarely used hypersonic weapons, there is no answer to them, no air defence; these things travel way beyond the speed of sound, Inter-Continental Ballistic Missiles with a twist; and if they are nuclear tipped, people would have little if no warning to prepare for their impact.
This could all just be hot air and bluster from the US President; it may be just political grandstanding, posturing, trying to show his people that he is a President in power; because if it is anything other than an idle threat, grave consequences could result.
No one wants a war with Russia, on a scale that is being envisaged; no one wants to ‘prod the bear’, unless of course they are suicidal.
Let us not forget who allies Russia. Russia is not alone in this, they are part of the ever expanding ‘BRICS’ nations, and no doubt pacts exist between them to come to the aid and assist those who are being threatened or attacked; China, India, Russia, Brazil, and South Africa, to name but a few.
How many of these nations are superpowers? How many of these nations are nuclear powers?
If the authorisation were to be given to Ukraine, what might that trigger off; Europe in ruins once again, nations torn apart, the economies in tatters, or worse still, World War III?
When two mad people come together, where does sanity exist?
Support this lunacy at your own risk, because once this ball starts rolling …
Well, you work it out.
