Allergies, Adverse Reactions To Life
What causes an allergic reaction?
What causes an adverse effect? Is it the ingestion of a foreign substance into our bodies or do our bodies just know what we don’t like?
Some people come out in a rash, some people are sick, some people become dangerously ill and in some extreme cases, deaths can occur. Some people have lactose intolerance, some people cannot eat nuts. A whole industry has been set up around allergies.
Could it be, is it possible that the additives in food are creating these adverse reactions, the allergic reactions to what we eat?
Why does this not affect all? Why are we not all affected in the same way?
What in the body is different that causes it to say, no to milk, no to nuts? Is there a chemical imbalance in the body?
Before medicines, before potions, before treatments were invented, how did people cope?
What did they do?
Is this a modern day phenomenon, only taking shape, only making itself know, in the last century or so? Have allergies always been with us? Is it the body’s defence mechanism or is it triggered off in the genetic code? Who have actually found answers to this or is that not the point?
Don’t cure, when you can treat.
How do they know how to come up with solutions, answers? What experiments must they do? How much investment is needed? How much research time is taken to find something that can treat an allergy?
Do we know what is in the things we eat today? Should we question it? What may be waiting down the road for us, as we progress through our lives? As children, the food we ate, could that have affected us later in life? How is food different today than it used to be?
Is there more salt in it? Are there more preservatives? Has bioengineering changed the food we now eat? How do they make food last longer? What chemicals are used? And how does that affect us? Could the chemicals offer the answers to the allergies?
Now there’s a question.
Will they ever answer it?
