Changing Direction Into Its Path
What path do we refer to, and why change direction?
If you cannot change direction, if you cannot change your mind, how do you step upon fate’s path?
Has all be written? Has all been decided, millennia ago? Is all thought and all action predetermined?
How can we tell? How do we know? How can we trust which way to go?
We think we think, but do we think? What is thought but a predetermined action?
The body responds, the body reacts; it has the ability to change. We react, our instincts tell us to adapt; is everything from before?
As children we grow; we learn from parents, we learn from friends, we learn from our surroundings; and gather knowledge. Our gifts bear fruit, they give us life, help us traverse the trouble and strife.
A journey, a pathway before us all, is like the rolling of a ball. Can you see into the future? Do you have memory of the past?
We learn from our histories, and from that learning, we create history.
What do you mean to those around you? Changing direction into its path; can you conceive of such a thing, do you bear witness to life?
As it grows, do you integrate? Is all preordained? Is now and into the future set in stone?
Are we as human beings, superior or just amoeba? Are we nothing but culture upon a sea of gel?
Think, ponder, discuss, discover; your mind is your jailer, or it sets you free. Is this a journey for you and me?
We step forward in tandem, unbeknown to each other, worlds apart, and yet as close as can be.
They say life will find a way, it has all to give; is there any fighting what has already been laid down?
The sun rises, the sun sets, hearts beat, sometimes as one; a simple look, a simple thought, and look what can be achieved.
This highway of life, this love affair of living …
What awaits us on this journey of life?
