How Do You Define Yourself?
Does anyone truly get to define themselves?
How do we single ourselves out?
Who notices us?
Celebrity status, fame, notoriety, leaders; they all mark out a niche. But do you have to be seen by the public? Do you have to be famous? There are other ways to define ourselves.
Helping people, charitable deeds, looking after the sick; so many people define themselves but go unnoticed.
Who thinks about a doctor? Who thinks about a nurse? Who thinks about an airline pilot, a train driver, a ship’s captain? So many people define themselves and go unnoticed, unseen by the public.
In truth, we all define ourselves, to one degree or another, every day of our lives, to our loved ones, to our families, to our friends, even to our pets.
Our worth is to our self.
We get to define ourselves by making a difference. We all have value, we all have a place.
Not everyone can be the best, the most famous, the most popular; but somewhere a difference is made to those around you, whoever you may be.
A smile, a kind gesture, a courtesy; do you not define yourself in life?
Where do you see it?
What should we appreciate?
