How Many Can See The Con Being Played Upon Them?
How many people willingly accept unscrupulous practise in order to have?
Who will accept, who will face, who will recognise, that their life quality is being reduced because of their own behaviour?
How many drug addicts are there in the world, how many alcoholics? How many need to seek distraction to escape? How many people inflict self-infliction?
Do people stop and think?
Does anyone stop and think any more, about the long term repercussions of their actions?
How many will look around and face what is happening? What reality in life is there anymore?
People have chosen to dismiss, to disregard the risks they take on.
In a ‘borrow to have world’, natural vulnerabilities come with the risk. How many people actually look at the slavery that that then inflicts upon them?
They want something, they want something new, so they borrow to have it; but in not saving, in just borrowing, how do they pay if things go wrong?
The streets are littered with shiny new vehicles, people have new things; when borrowing to have them, it is a mirage, it is a pretence of an existence.
When people sign for credit, which number do they look at? The total cost, with all the fees added on; the hidden costs; the administration fees; the right to buy fees; charges, and the privilege of owning fee; how many look at the actual price of the debt they take on?
300 a month, 500 a month, it looks manageable, it looks achievable for that shiny new vehicle; the one that after a month or two becomes common place, becomes boring, becomes out of fashion.
Once the excitement has come and gone, all people are left with are the running costs and the debt.
Yes, they can convince themselves that it was worth it; yes, they can convince themselves that they were right; but if they had to settle that debt, if they had to settle the full amount, the principle sum; could they?
The con is in convincing the people that they can somehow stretch themselves to pay.
Is life now so boring, is life now so empty, that people willingly subject themselves to being conned?
