Insolvent – What Glues It All Together?
If the failures we see, if the businesses collapsing are just the thin end of the wedge, what becomes of people’s futures, what becomes of the promises that millions and billions of people were relying on?
How bad do things have to get, how many businesses have to fail, how much suffering has to be endured for people to believe that their idyllic life can be, and is, vulnerable?
What times are these where so many people can be so easily misled, so easily duped, into believing that the system is stable?
When we look at the economy, when we look at the economies of the world, and then look at the amount of stimulus, liquidity, money printing that is being needed to keep the economies ticking over, we must really ask, what is an economy? What is the GDP of a country?
How can they stand behind these numbers? How can they tell us that the Gross Domestic Product of a country has any real foundation in fact, when the system it relies upon is made up of ‘funny money’?
Money printing, creating money from nowhere, adding numbers to an accounting column to make the books look positive, is a con game of epic proportions. They are borrowing money from the assets they possess, and the only assets they possess, are the people. There is now so much toxicity, so many non-performing assets, so many negatives against the positives, that they are hanging on by the ‘skin of their teeth’.
They are effectively digging their nails into a plate glass window; their slide downwards is beginning to pick up pace.
Business failure will become more obvious; job losses, public services, public amenities will begin to be cut; can we not see that already in the infrastructures where we live? What does it take to see that the few have borrowed from the many, enriched themselves at the fountain of youth? But the drugs are wearing off, people are beginning to come to their senses, beginning to awaken; the question is, what will these people awaken into?
What are they preparing us for? How many are already identified to become the sacrificial lambs?
This is not what people want to hear, not what people want to think about; but is not forewarning forearming, before the floods arrive?
A metaphor, or stark reality?
Which one will people choose?
