Now You See It – Now You Don’t
A conflict, a war, a confrontation; who in the West thinks Ukraine can win?
Is it nothing more than posturing?
Is the Ukrainian army now nothing more than that that was left after the ‘Battle of the Bulge’ in World War II, where the German military were decimated, and their last ditched attempt failed?
They say Ukraine entered Russia, they say the Ukrainian military entered Kursk, it has been claimed that they advanced more than 30 Km, effectively behind enemy lines.
How many people would be interested to know that Russia launched a counteroffensive, and have more or less, as they put it, neutralised the problem, or in simple terms, the Ukrainian armed forces have been destroyed?
As more weapons arrive in Ukraine from the West, as more advanced hardware enters the country, Russia feels pressured into upping its game. It has been reported that Britain may be supplying its ‘Storm Shadow’ systems to the Ukrainian army.
If that truly be the case, will not Russia see Great Britain as an enemy combatant? If Russian civilians are killed using military hardware from or operated by British military personnel on Russian soil, killing Russian people, surely it naturally falls to the assumption that there is a direct conflict taking place.
Russia may or may not address that as an act of war, they may just repel the incursion and destroy what is being used against them. It is anyone’s guess as to what may be going on in the minds of the Russian military, but what people can be assured of is that only so much will be tolerated; so much loss of life, so much loss of manpower; and when that point is reached, the game changes, and instead of it just being Russia defending itself and trying to remove what is seen as a malignant presence, this whole situation can quickly get out of hand, and escalate into something far more serious on a much wider scale.
Billions of Dollars are being provided, more than One Hundred Billion Dollars have so far been spent, and still, with all that has gone before, no real headway by the Ukrainians or their backers, has been made. The Ukrainian army is being crushed, it is in a meat grinder, the ground is being churned up, and thousands are losing their lives.
Why are Western leaders so keen to prolong this war? Why do they have a dog in this fight? What do they have an eye on? Could it be the Twelve Trillion Dollars in natural resources that they are investing in?
Ukraine used to be part of the Soviet Union, has Ukraine now become a silent branch of NATO; or is Ukraine just being used? Are the Ukrainian people just being sacrificed, to stick it to Russia?
This is a war no one can win, stalemate is fast approaching; and once that point has been reached, what are Western leaders prepared to do, to achieve their agendas?
A target has been set, an aim, an outcome is being pursued, but at what cost to ordinary everyday people?
If this does not end soon, if calmer heads cannot prevail, what will there be left to argue over? Is anyone armageddon-ing it?
Should people be turning to their governments and saying, ‘stop, before it is too late’?
Petition, do not protest; because in protests, they can say that a crime has been committed?
