The Changing Times That Await Us

 
As the times change, what awaits us, what approaches us, what is coming towards us; people’s lives have been set in their ways?

For many decades now, things have been the same; people could have the lives they wanted, buy what they wanted, take what they wanted; it was all there for those who could ignore the risks.

We have all been persuaded, suggested to, and encouraged into taking things for granted; that was the lull, the calm before the storm. Millions, if not billions of people, lived out their dreams, lived out their fantasies, had what they wanted. Many were encouraged to believe in what could not continue; and what could not continue, is now with us today.

The change is upon us, it has arrived; and how that affects people, will depend on their state of mind.

The mind has been tainted by a ‘freedom for all’, many were set upon a path that is now coming to an end.
What is at the end of that path for people; riches to rags, plenty to hardship, euphoria to damnation?

There are those that foretold the end of the good times, and they were ridiculed, castigated, laughed at. Who laughs at them today?
They shone a light into the darkness; people refused to look, refused to listen; now where are people?

The world is now facing a change; what that change is, and where it leads people, is yet to be seen. But if history is anything to go by, if people look back through time and see what happened before, there we may see what awaits.

Would people have chosen differently? Could people have chosen differently, when the winds of change beckoned them along?
So many people listened to so few.

Through the doorway awaited a new life; a life of plenty, a life of freedom; all things that were gold, glistened, and the magpies queued up to have their fill. Now the vultures are circling, the change is at hand; how many exists are left open to those who got stuck in the rut?

A tale of the past, a tale of the future, a tale of today;

has life been designed to always end this way?
