There Is Only One Of A Kind
Everywhere in the world today, people are celebrating the Monarch of the United Kingdom.
Queen Elizabeth II has reigned for 70 years; she is truly a statue of hope, a leading light in what can be achieved.
Has there ever been someone so resolute in their duties; she has served the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth steadfastly for 7 decades, she is duty before all else?
As a young woman she became Queen of England; not knowing what to expect or what awaited her, she took on the civil duties with a pride; she gave of herself to the country she represents, she swore an oath to the people.
If only others, who claim to serve their people, were so resolute in their duties; leaders around the world seem to act with impunity, the rules seemingly do not apply to them. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom has broken the law, and still he will not go.
He claimed that what he did was a minor infraction, and yet the rest of the people of the United Kingdom were fined, were prosecuted, and were jailed.
So many leaders today cannot follow in the Queen’s footsteps; they claim to act for their people, and yet they do the complete opposite; they say one thing, and do another.
There are wars raging everywhere, people are caught up in suffering, trapped in a living hell; and all our leaders can do, is fan the flames of war; Billions of Dollars are being spent, stoking the flames.
As if life isn’t hard enough, our leaders tell us more suffering is on the way; money will become tight, the inexorable rise in the cost of living seems to be unabating. Whilst most people watch their standard of living degrade, others are ‘living it up’; thinking not of the future, but just of today.
Will that day be rued, when that day comes?
The short-sightedness of people, who fail to recognise a change in life is here, will leave them vulnerable, and disadvantaged.
The Queen of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II, 70 years on the throne, a leading vanguard for others to follow.
“Hip Hip Hooray!”
Will there ever be another like her?
