When Life’s Changes Come
When life’s changes come, they can affect us all; no one escapes them.
Things just happen; around the next corner, in a new job; just randomly, things can change our lives.
Life is never straight forward, you just never know what awaits us; one day things are straight forward, the next day, things are not. We think we are in control of our lives; we think we have a ‘handle’ on them, that we are in charge; is there such a thing as fate? Is there such a thing as divine intervention?
Who really knows the answer to that question?
Is there more to our lives; more presence, more meaning to why we exist? Is our path set in stone; no matter which way we go, no matter which way we turn, it has already been decided? Is the reason why we are here, beyond our spectrum of capability, beyond what we can comprehend?
For all the choices we make, all the opportunities we have, all the decisions our thoughts tell us we have made, is it all preordained?
From the moment we were conceived, from life removed from even that, how many things had to happen to place us where we are now? We think, we act, we decide; our hearts and minds take us on a journey; rough seas, calm waters. For some, turbulent times; for others, peace and tranquillity.
How can we really tell who we are, until we find peace in our surroundings?
Life’s map, life’s journey; are we being guided to our destination, by things beyond even our wildest imaginations? Our life that we control, our direction that we take; when life’s changes come, should we be surprised or should we be amazed?
Just a simple chance encounter, just a simple series of events; and one day, life looks different.
