Which Way Should We Turn? Which Way Should We Run?
If we could turn away from ourselves, where would we go, how would we get there?
They say life takes us down many strange pathways; lots of doors open, many doors close.
We have choices we cannot see, made choices, maybe we should not have done so; life splinters us into many pieces, how do we glue ourselves back together?
Is it possible to do such a thing, once life is torn apart?
They can treat it with drugs, numb the senses and trick the mind, but once we are set upon our path, what steps in our way to distract our life?
If we look inward, what do we find? Is there anything we can see? How many of us do such things; look at ourselves for who we truly are?
Mirror, mirror, upon the wall, who is the fairest of them all?
We kid ourselves into believing that we are perfect; our form, our shape, our thoughts. We are true to ourselves if we look, we can see that; who is truly us?
We have become shadows, we become wraiths; our past, our present, our future, becomes all that we are, and all that we can ever be.
The true light of following, guides us upon our path; but does that light of following, guide us to damnation or salvation?
If you see those that are about you, how many lights of theirs grow dim?
There was the guidance and the science and the opinion; and so many became convinced of what they were told. Have the multitudes been led into the darkness, from whence never to return?
A sobering thought, a not so agreeable tale, of where the world now finds its people.
Has doom and gloom set in?
It is to us, to find the light. All people have to do so is reach out, and find from within, the strength to once again believe, that the tricks of the light and the desires of lust, were not necessary for life.
All choices are open to those who can see; but remaining asleep, keeps you in the dark. If only people valued what they had, true value would have meaning, and there would have been no allowance for the creating of make-believe.
A life in turmoil, but you can have it all; how many people are now set upon that path?
And what is at the end of it, that awaits them?
